Weigh In For Your Chance To Win

by Kenlie on July 15, 2011

Yesterday I asked you to share your weigh-in habits with me, and many of you weigh yourselves more than I’ve ever dreamed of weighing myself!  I typically weigh-in once a week (though I’m out of town today which means I won’t weigh-in until next Friday) and find myself wanting to step on the scale more and more lately.

One’s relationship with the scale is a tricky thing, but the bottom line is that it’s a basic and necessary tool when the goal is weight-loss.  People tell say “forget the scale” or “lose the scale” or “it’s just a number.”  And while it is just a number, it is monumentally important for me to watch that number go down.

I’m ready to see that number decrease more regularly again in my own life, and I know many of you have the same goal.  And having an accuracte scale that can support my weight plus some is important to me because when I tipped the scales at 400 pounds, it was nearly impossible to find a scale that could accomodate my size.

The good folks at EatSmart understand the value of a durable and accurate scale as much as they understand the value of a healthy lifestyle so they’re going to see to it that one of you receives a new Precision Plus Digital Bathroom Scale!  How cool is that?  And what’s even cooler is that this scale has the capacity to weigh up to 440 lbs.  I love this scale because the display is huge, and it would have worked for me at my heaviest.

Winning is simple, and there are a few ways to do it:

1) Take a look at the Precision Plus Digital Scale here then come back and tell me if you would benefit by owning it!  (one entry)

2) Follow @eatsmartscales on twitter and tell them @alltheweigh says hi! (two entries)

3) Like EatSmart on Facebook and tell them you’re participating in this giveaway.  Feel free to tell me hi on my page too though it’s not required to receive your entry: facebook.com/alltheweighblog (two entries)

4) Blog about this giveaway on your blog.  Feel free to keep it short and sweet.  Just don’t forget to link back to this post! (three entries)

I’ll choose a winner Monday, July 18th, 2011 so weigh-in for your chance to win!

*This contest is open to U.S. residents only.

I tweeted and followed and am also going to say I would HUGELY benefit from having an accurate scale because the one I currently have seems to waiver on accurate to “way out in the solar system.” It’s good when it’s wrong on the low side… but even that’s not REALLY good, because I should be getting an accurate view of my weight. I’m currently using the scale at the gym so it’d be super cool to own my own fancy one like this!

I’m in maintenance mode and weigh myself every few days. I have a terrible old non-digital scale that always needs to be zeroed before I step on it. It’s really not accurate at all. Thanks for the giveaway!

I really could use this scale. I’m on Day 3 of WW online and as I type this my daughter is sitting beside me eating tortilla chips and nacho cheese dip. I am resisting the urge to reach over and enjoy some right along with her. Instead I’ll enjoy my diet coke and go grab a peach.

I would definitely benefit from this scale! I’ve been wanting to buy a digital scale but haven’t had the money to shell out.
I started Weight Watchers in January and lost 32 pounds. I was no longer able to afford the monthly fee so I canceled and over the last month I have gone a little food crazy. My accountability is gone. This scale would help me see how far track I’ve gotten and keep me accountable instead of in denial.

Reply

Kenlie July 15, 2011 at 12:49 pm

I understand the accountability being gone so I’m going to put a little group together for folks who want and need some free accountability. I’ll keep you posted…

There are are 3 things I really love about this scale!

1) It only requires 2 AAA batteries (most need 4!)

2) The base is 15″ wide (ones I’ve priced are 12″)

and most important!

3) It read up it 440 lbs! This is huge for me beacause I wouldn’t need a speacial scale for me or my dad who is just over 400 lbs!

Btw I posted on Eat Smart Products wall and tweeted, as well! Thank you! :-)

Not only would I benefit from this scale, but my *whole family* would benefit! We have all just started a family health and wellness program (not a diet – we’ve changed our lifestyles!) and we need a scale that will weigh everyone – without us having to search for a special scale for the hubby.
This scale would serve that purpose beautifully!

I’ve been a follower for some time now, and although I don’t comment, your blogs often give me much food for thought.

Keep on being you!

I would definitely benefit from owning a Precision Plus scale! I run a small weight loss group. It’s just a little healthy competitive thing amongst a few friends to help us stay on track and get together a couple times a month. We currently use my scale and it has been a little flaky lately – I would love to have a more reliable one and I’m sure my ladies would appreciate it too! Thanks for the opportunity!

I looked at the scale and loved it. My son would benefit from this because of the weight it will accomodate–currently our scale reads “error” every time he steps on it, and it’s very frustrating for him not to be able to check his weight more than once a week.

So… the question about how often we weigh ourselves was just a lead in to this giveaway? huh.

Reply

Kenlie July 15, 2011 at 10:08 pm

Not really, no…but it worked out pretty well. It seems we all have varying relationships with the scale though most of us believe we need one..I certainly do.

I would love to have scales like this. The ones I have always give a different number every time I step on them. I can weigh myself step off the scales and step right back on them and they will read five to six pds different. I need something that I can rely on. Thank you, Barbara.

I like to weigh myself in the morning after I go to the bathroom. I usually just weigh myself once a week. Monday’s are no good for me because I’m not as strict with my eating. The scale I have now will give me 3 different readings in the same weighin. It would be great to have a nice new EatSmart scale!
