Dad

by Kenlie on January 26, 2012

My dad was in an accident earlier today, and though he insists that he’s fine now, he’s in the hospital.  He was taken to the ER where they ran tests, and it seems as though he may have had a stroke though they won’t confirm anything until tomorrow.  He seemed much better tonight, but I just want to be there with him.  We’ll see what happens in the next 24 hours…

If you pray, please do that now….I’ll update more later when my brain isn’t so scattered.

My thoughts are with you and your family. My father had a heart attack 2 years ago; the waiting/not knowing what was going to happen or how he really was, was the worst part for all of us.

I hope he recovers soon.

Not knowing (and being so far away) were definitely the worst parts. I’m so happy that he’s okay now.

I hope your dad is doing well now too!

He seems so much better now Lori…He’s still fighting a bronchial infection, but that’s certainly better than the alternatives they were considering.

My dad had something like a stroke on Friday the 13th. He was in the hospital for a few days…unable to talk, communicate, or do much of anything. He was moved to a nursing rehab center and came home earlier this week. He thinks he is ok because he doesn’t remember what happened. He is doing much better, the worst side affect is loss of short-term memory. He is almost 82 and the whole ordeal has been scary and taken a tole. My thoughts are with you and your family.
